Top Advisory Panel Warns Erosion of U.S. Science

2 days after I wrote about yet another sober view of the state of competitiveness and education in America, I saw this interesting article about the erosion of U.S. science on Slashdot.

Economic competitiveness of american markets seems to be on the decline in comparison to chinese or indian markets . but it is a fiction. chineses markets are an illusion and due to political instability in years to come, the chinese economy will prove to be a bubble

To add to what u said, china is extremely over populated. in the long term a country cannot become a an economic powerhouse when most of its citizens (and we are talking about a couple of hundreds of millions!) live in great poverty and in rural areas. so China is a bubble that sooner or later will explode economically and politically
