Stephen Colbert on Fresh Air

Stephen Colbert, the anchorman of the Colbert Report and a former senior correspondent for the the Daily Show (BTW which correspondent on the Daily Show isn't a senior correspondent), was interviewed by Terry Gross on Fresh Air earlier today. You can listen to the interview here. You will hear none of Colbert's usual satire on the interview, but it is nonetheless humorous and insightful.

This was a wonderful interview. I like that he was out of character for most of it. Gave a different look on the guy.

Yeah, that senior correspondent thing is weird--mainly that he's referred to as a correspondent at all. He was doing sketch comedy! He's a comedian, satirist! Referring to him as anchorman or correspondent seems to further blur the line between journalism and info-tainment. Not a good trend. It's all confusing enough.

I did a summary of the interview on my site:

Have a look, and let me know what you think.

Best,
Brent

Stephen Colbert is a great comedian. I often listen to his witty remarks and it makes me laugh. its a very sophisticated form of humor.
